You can pick a dough depending on your mood or put as much of the azuki bean paste as you please. You can also enjoy the fresh and crisp texture of the dough. The origins of this product come from when the wife of Hankyu Corporation founder Ichizo Kobayashi said she wanted to enjoy the crisp texture of seeds, spurring the owner of the shop to bring sweet bean paste and seeds separately to the Takarazuka Hotel.

The main ingredients of the Takara Monaka are azuki beans and sugar. There is nothing else.
It is precisely because we have very few ingredients that the quality of each ingredient and our ability to bring out the best from these ingredients have such a huge impact on the taste and texture.
We continue to select the finest ingredients and find new ways of bringing out the best from them. This is how we protect our signature taste.
We only use domestic glutinous rice in our dough, so it is safe for people with wheat allergies.

We use 100% Dainagon azuki beans from Tokachi, Hokkaido for our azuki beans.
We do not have single recipe for cooking the azuki beans. Using our five senses and depending on the season, the weather, and the condition of the azuki beans, we cook them differently to keep the taste consistent.
We are proud of the deep and unique taste, elegant sweetness and smooth yet grainy texture of the Dainagon azuki beans.
